Seed Bank
There are many expenses associated with planting churches across the globe. Every fall a Reaping the Harvest offering is taken to help cover the expenses of church planting for BCPM.
Your tax-deductible donation toward the Seek Bank will help in this cause. The following are some often-asked questions concerning the Seed Bank of Baptist Church Planting Ministry:
What is the BCPM Seed Bank?
The BCPM Seed bank is a fund that is used to help with the expenses of reproducing a new church. We do not charge churches to help them with church planting projects. We also cover all our expenses while there.
Why is the Seed Bank needed?
The Seed Bank is needed because the General Fund of BCPM cannot handle these extra expenses. The General Fund takes care of the administrative expenses for the ministry and the salaries, but it is not large enough to cover the extra expenses incurred when planting a church.
How much is needed for each project?
The amount needed varies with each project. in some cases, a prophet’s chamber is available, but at other times, we must stay in a hotel. Meals are sometimes provided as well. The travel expense is determined by where the new church is being planted. The average expense for each project is approximately $2,000.
How many projects are planned for 2011?
We have five to six projects planned for 2011 with that number expecting to grow. Through the Seed Bank, BCPM is able to help local Baptist Churches reproduce new churches all around the world.
What kinds of results are you seeing?
In the past fifteen years, the Seed Bank has helped us work with over 100 new church-planting projects. Each year over $1,500,000 is given to missions through these churches.
