07 Jan Dr. Earl Jessup – January 2016
BCPM has had another great year of church planting, and we praise the Lord for all He has done for us through the year. There were seven church plants this past year with six being in the United States and one in Portugal. Three of the church plants were on the East Coast with one in Virginia, one in Delaware and one in South Carolina. Two were in the Midwest with one in Ohio and the other in Iowa. One was out west in Casa Grande, Arizona. We are thankful for your faithful support of the Seed Bank through the Reaping the Harvest offering and through monthly giving to the Seed Bank. Without your sacrifice and faithfulness, we could not cover all our travel and other preparation expenses in helping these church plants. Please understand how important and how appreciative we are for your involvement in this ministry.
The church plant in Portugal was the first in that country. We also covered all our expenses for this church plant plus the Portuguese John/Romans for this project. The pastors in Portugal are so excited about the philosophy and methodology we use in church planting that they are already preparing to repeat the process again. We are so thankful for the group of church planters from South Haven Baptist in Springfield, TN, that travelled with Brother Rowland to help with this project.
We also want to thank each of you who faithfully prayed for our ministry this past year. Yes, finances are important, but without your faithful investment of prayer, everything else would be in vain. We are so grateful to those of you that take time in your prayer life to pray for our church plants, our staff and God’s blessing on this ministry. You are the true heroes and only eternity will reveal just how important you have been to BCPM. Thank you so very much!!!!!!
I have surgery scheduled for January 12 for a tumor found in the urinary tract this past week. I should not be in the hospital for long, but we would appreciate you praying that this will go well. Beth is doing fine following her surgery, and we should be able to begin traveling in the beginning of February. We have meetings booked from the first week of February through the middle of March. We will return home for more appointments for the cancer. Lord willing, we will be able to prepare for the summer and fall schedule at that time.
The annual financial giving report will be sent to you by mail sometime in the next few weeks. This statement should match your records, but if the giving was close to the end of the month, it could have been recorded in the next month’s report. Please check your records and be sure that our statement matches your giving. If not, please contact our office immediately, and we will do our best to work out any problems. The office number is 612-244-5224. Mrs. Graves works a secular job as well so just leave a message, and she will get back to you.
Thank you again for your faithful financial investment in this ministry. It is wonderful to see how the Lord has used your faithfulness to see churches planted. We are working on statistics concerning the church plants that I think will surprise you. It should be ready for our next letter or the Cultivator. God is using you to see souls saved around the world because of your investment. Thank you for the investments, the Christmas gifts to us and our staff members and your prayers. We are truly grateful.
Co-Laborers Together in the Great Commission,
Earl D. Jessup
