UPDATE ON CANCER

We just returned from Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital where we met with Dr. Law, the pancreatic surgeon. The biopsy reveals this is a malignant tumor in the pancreas called a “neuroendocrine tumor”. This tumor can be dormant or very aggressive. He believes that my tumor is dormant at this point but did indicate that could change. He believes we can wait until the fall (September/October) and do blood work and a CT dedicated to the pancreas to determine the status of t…

UPDATE ON CANCER

I has a cysto (a scope put into the bladder) on Friday which showed new tumors in the bladder and near the prostate. Dr. Zadra is concerned about the ones near the prostate and surgery is needed to take them out. It will not be out-patient as before but I will be admitted to the hospital and will spend at least one night in the hospital. These tumors are in such a place that they will be difficult to get out without causing some complications.

He knows of t…

Pastor and Mrs. Pennell went with us and we dropped our wives off in Buffalo and went to Rome, NY to work on a church plant. I had no access to Internet while gone.

We met with Dr. Law, the pancreatic surgeon, and they decided to hold off on surgery until they can do an endoscopy. They are going to…

UPDATE ON CANCER

I met with the oncologist yesterday afternoon and he wants me to meet with a pancreatic surgeon as soon as possible to remove the 2.2 CM tumor quickly. The reason is because we have caught it early and it is not impacting my health or any other organ at this time. It is very important to get this tumor removed quickly.

We are praying the appointment will be this next week. We will then see what the specialist says about removing the tumor. We were told that this is a…

UPDATE ON CANCER

Dear Friends,

On January 16 I had another CT Scan to see if the cancer has spread in my body. This week I met with three different oncologists and they came to a united conclusion on several issues. The scan showed the mass in the lung was now 2.8 cm as compared to 2.6 cm in the previous scan. They believe there is no change in the mass at all and that the lung is stable. The radiologist noted a lymph node that seemed to have a small growth in the chest and all t…
