Loren Steven – September 2015

At our home church, the verse for the month of August was James 4:17, “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” I believe that applies to individuals in churches as well.  To know we ought to plant churches and not do it or have a part in doing so places us in a state of sin. It is such a blessing to hear how God is blessing in the churches planted this year to date.
God has been at work as John/Romans are being distributed in Davenport for the planting…

Loren Steven – June 2015

We are excited as we continue into the year and see new churches birthed. As this is written, a large group of people from Springfield, TN, have traveled to Lisbon, Portugal to assist the birthing of a church there. Our assistant director and his family were able to meet them there also and within about a week the group spent long days and walking eight to ten miles daily up and down mountainous terrain to distribute 40,000 John/Romans. The scripture portions were received with excitement…

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1

The month of April was a month of blessings as two churches were birthed. The first was in Easton, MD, that we reported on last month. Just a few days later, Bro. Jim McCourt, working closely with BCPM board member Rick Rust (pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio), reproduced the Oregon Baptist Church in the town of Oregon, Ohio.

The verse I have been meditating upon this new quarter of 2015 is Malachi 2:6, “The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips; he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.” I want that to be the testimony of my life.

It is a blessing to hear that the new church that you prayed for, birthed in Casa Grande, AZ, is continuing to do well.

We are also excited to continue praying for Pastor Jake Reid as he pastors Easton Baptist…

February started with many, many blessings. There was the victorious start of New Life Baptist Church, in Casa Grande, AZ. Many individuals attended the Get-Acquainted Meetings, and the first Sunday they rejoiced with over eighty in attendance. More than sixty of these were from the community. Earlier in the month, Dr. Jessup had successful surgery to remove several tumors. He went into surgery at eight a.m. and was home by two p.m. Just a few days later, movers loaded their household goods…

“…For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James many years ago gave us warning that life is very transient. There is work to be done, and we must be busy for our Lord. Thank you for letting us partner with you and your church.

December has been a challenging month. We have had many blessings in spite of the challenges of Bev’s accident. We have been blessed this year to see the growth and blessings of souls saved in…

Loren Steven – December 2014

I thank God that He grants us the honor of being able to be thankful in everything. As we close out the year of 2014, we are soooo blessed. After the longest journey in several years, we can only rejoice. We enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving here at home with family and some new friends with no family nearby. They have four children that have been adopted from Russia. We take so much for granted living here in America. We certainly, as His redeemed ones, do not deserve His blessing and…

Loren Steven – November 2014

We bring you greetings from Minnesota. So many blessings occurred during our trip that we wanted to share some of them. You were so much a part of this as you prayed for us. We found out just a couple of days before leaving that I had more kidney stones. There was no time to deal with them surgically (one being over fourteen cm) before leaving so we asked people to pray that they just would not move. God answered that prayer, and I had no pain for over eight weeks. Just a couple of days after…

Loren Steven – September 2014

We have begun an extended time on the road and God has been so good to us. In mid- August, we left Minnesota amid high temperatures. The first service was to report to a church in Farwell, MI, that has been part of our supporting team for many years. It was a blessed day with Pastor Nestor and the church family. They are such gracious people.
We then crossed from Port Huron, MI, to Niagara Falls, NY. We crossed into the U.S. via the Rainbow Bridge from which we could see and hear the work…

Loren Steven – March 2014

The old saying “March in like a lion and out like a lamb”certainly has started out that way for 2014. If it is accurate for the weather, as Christians, we will take it one step further. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:10, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.”Let us enter the month for our Lord like a “lion”and close it the same way.

February concluded as Beacon Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ, was planted with much labor. Thirteen churches brought together over 225…
