Loren Steven – December 2014

I thank God that He grants us the honor of being able to be thankful in everything. As we close out the year of 2014, we are soooo blessed. After the longest journey in several years, we can only rejoice. We enjoyed a blessed Thanksgiving here at home with family and some new friends with no family nearby. They have four children that have been adopted from Russia. We take so much for granted living here in America. We certainly, as His redeemed ones, do not deserve His blessing and…

We bring you greetings from Minnesota. So many blessings occurred during our trip that we wanted to share some of them. You were so much a part of this as you prayed for us. We found out just a couple of days before leaving that I had more kidney stones. There was no time to deal with them surgically (one being over fourteen cm) before leaving so we asked people to pray that they just would not move. God answered that prayer, and I had no pain for over eight weeks. Just a couple of days after…

We have begun an extended time on the road and God has been so good to us. In mid- August, we left Minnesota amid high temperatures. The first service was to report to a church in Farwell, MI, that has been part of our supporting team for many years. It was a blessed day with Pastor Nestor and the church family. They are such gracious people.
We then crossed from Port Huron, MI, to Niagara Falls, NY. We crossed into the U.S. via the Rainbow Bridge from which we could see and hear the work…

The old saying “March in like a lion and out like a lamb”certainly has started out that way for 2014. If it is accurate for the weather, as Christians, we will take it one step further. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:10, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.”Let us enter the month for our Lord like a “lion”and close it the same way.

February concluded as Beacon Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ, was planted with much labor. Thirteen churches brought together over 225…

The year 2013 is now in the history books. As the poet wrote, “Only one life, will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last.” It is my prayer that what God has recorded for my life will show it has been done for Him. We are thankful for the six churches planted from Prince Edward Island to Montana. Along with planting the churches, over 125,000 copies of the books of John and Romans were distributed.
Bev and I are thankful for the blessings He poured upon us as the year 2013…

Great comfort is available to each one of us as we read Luke 2:10. As men were “sore afraid,”  the angel said, “Fear not for I bring you good tidings of great joy.” Men’s hearts are filled with fear as they face the future without the Prince of Peace.
The year draws to a close with many surprises for Bev and me. The weekend before Thanksgiving, I was preaching a Faith Promise missions conference and was excited to see the Lord working in hearts. In spite of dealing with pain in my back that…

We will end the last quarter of 2013 with lots of activity. There have been challenges and blessings.  God is so gracious to meet each circumstance.

We have spent much time on the phone visiting with pastors. Many are not familiar with our ministry. It has been encouraging to have a number say they were excited to find that there was a ministry that has had experience in encouragement and a willingness to assist in planting “old- fashioned, soul-winning, Bible-believing Baptist”…

I believe we are finally beyond winter here in Minnesota, even though we are seeing temperatures in the forties often at night. At least we are having spring showers virtually daily! The grass is green, and the trees are leafing out. Our hearts go out to those who have lost loved ones, homes and practically all they own to destructive tornados. Minnesota has been spared that type of storm, thus far.

This very condition reminds us why we must be obedient to our Lord and plant churches. As…

Dear Pastor and Church Family,

We have the blessed promise in Isaiah 1:18. “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow…” We have been having daily reminders of that truth even though we are now in the month of May! I cannot remember a year like this where we have had recurring snow; just last week we saw up to ten inches of heavy, wet snow.

The spring church plants have in most cases been impacted by adverse weather in one way or another. Sometimes it has been…

Loren Steven – December 2012

Dear Pastor and Church Family,

What a marvellous time of year. As we have traveled and preached across many miles this year we have come to know a multitude of ethnic backgrounds. In spite of the many differences it only took One Babe to become sin for each of us and give His life’s blood that we might have redemption. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 5:10 “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall b…
