Charlie Graves, Webmaster and IT Manager

Charlie Graves accepted Christ as his Saviour at a Vacation Bible School as a child at the First Baptist Church in Lowell, Indiana, in the mid-1970s. He grew up in a Christian home and went on to attend that same church for over fifteen years. He had the opportunity to attend Lowell Baptist School from second grade until his senior year and then graduated from LBS in May of 1988.

In high school, the Lord called Charlie to teach. After graduation, he enrolled into Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana.

Charlie has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physical Education (1993). His master’s degree is in School Administration; Charlie is currently working on his Ph.D. degree in Christian leadership. He serves as the Secondary Administrator at First Baptist School in Rosemount, Minnesota, where he and his family have now served for the last fifteen years. He also serves as the Youth Director for First Baptist Church. In addition, he serves as a teenageSunday school teacher. He also serves in the Deaf Ministry as a deaf interpreter in the church services and had previously served as deacon for twelve years.

Charlie is the webmaster for the Baptist Church Planting Ministry website and provides computer support when needed. He also serves as the editor for BCPM’s newsletter, The Cultivator.

He is married to Julia, his wife of over seventeen years; they have six children: Jaclyn, Ashley, Christina, Michael, Daniel and Diana.

Charlie enjoys teaching, preaching, computers, basketball, softball, running, and spending time with family. In addition, he says it is a joy when, “I get to listen to my daughters play the piano.”
