Loren Steven – December 2012
Dear Pastor and Church Family,
What a marvellous time of year. As we have traveled and preached across many miles this year we have come to know a multitude of ethnic backgrounds. In spite of the many differences it only took One Babe to become sin for each of us and give His life’s blood that we might have redemption. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 5:10 “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life”.
We love the Christmas season with the special Christmas programs, beautiful decorations and cheerful greetings from strangers and friends. We have been blessed as even since before the first of the month many have been saying, “Merry Christmas”.
We have had a number of challenges but what joy we have experienced as God met each challenge with us. Bev has undergone the knee replacement and removal of cataracts on both eyes. Bev’s knee surgery went very well and she is able to do most everything except kneel. She is doing steps and has just about completed her decorating throughout the house. (That is extensive as you know, if you have ever been to our home.) I was able to get the outdoor decorations out before we saw any snow and the temperatures began to drop
It is a blessing to see God leading as we prepare for the church starts for next year. As BCPM goes into its 20th year of existence, many activities are under way to make the year memorable. We will be having our annual meeting along with the anniversary celebration in the Toledo area in June. We would love to have you come and be a part of the events with us. There will even be a golf tournament with some great prizes that some churches and businesses are making available. We are praying that God will enable us to raise $20,000 to assist with helping churches plant churches.
I trust that you have had the opportunity to share in the annual fall “Reaping the Harvest Offering”. Every penny of this offering is used to meet expenses of the church starts. Nothing goes into the operating costs of the ministry or the general account of BCPM.
Bev and I pray that this Christmas will be an especially blessed one for each of you. Thank you so much for your love and prayers on our behalf. We know that it has been difficult for many individuals and churches with the economy as it is. Thank you and please keep praying. Please share your prayer requests with us and let us have opportunity to bring you to the Throne of Grace.
Please continue to pray for Pastor Mike Marshall and the church in Mundelein, IL. The doctors at Oasis of Hope in Mexico are working with him as he faces this very serious cancer condition.
Thank you, from the depths of our hearts for you prayers and encouragement which enable us to keep on keeping on for our Lord. May you have a blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year.
Because He lives, we serve,
Loren & Bev Steven
