Dr. Jessup’s Health Update – August 2, 2011
The following health update is from Dr. Jessup given on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 3:19 p.m. CST.
Of course, I will not be traveling at all this month in order to give my attention to the radiation treatments in Toronto.
The monthly letter pretty well explains what is going on (this will be out shortly). I went down today for a breathing test that I did well on. This means that at this point the tumor is not affecting my breathing too much.
I also had another scan today to determine the exact size and place of the tumor. If the tumor has grown substantially, the doctor may not do the radiation and if there are other tumors that are found he will not do it. It would be useless to do them. If we do not hear from him then we will begin the treatments on Aug. 16 for fifteen straight weekdays.
There should not be too many side effects, and I should be able to continue to do some work and writing while home. I will be more tired than usual.
On another note, please pray for Pastor Pennell as he has hip replacement surgery on Aug. 10. He will be laid up for four weeks at least and likely not doing much for six weeks. I will do my best to keep you posted on how that goes.
Thanks for praying for us, and please continue to do so. God has been good to us over these last 18 years.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BCPM!
